    Ephesus Celsus Library is located in Selcuk, Izmır. The second-century library is identified as a Roman Period edifice and has two storeys. Following the death of Celsus, the governor of Ephesus, the library was built by his son, Asian consul Julius Aquila, in memory of his father. The library is designed by the Roman architect Vitruoya and is also a monumental tomb.
