Harem of the Topkapı Palace which hosted the queen mother, Sultans’s women, princes and concubines for centuries and which couldn’t be entered by anyone foreign, was the greatest place of interest during the Ottoman times. Deriving from the word “harim” (meaning untouchable in Arabic) and that defines the private family living in Muslim counties, is the private and banned area in which the noble family lived in Ottoman Palaces. Topkapı Palace Harem Department, is an eduction centre for women in the way of a special school for educating women as well as the home of the Sultans. This product is inspired by the cage of the 16th century Turkish bath located in the Harem Department of the Topkapi Palace Museum.
