Kybele, Prehistorik dönemlerden itibaren Akdeniz Havzası’nda özellikle Anadolu’da bereket ve bolluğun sembolü ve koruyucusudur. Çoğu dönemde de Ana Tanrıça olarak adlandırılır. Kybele’nin iki yanındaki aslanlar Ana Tanrıça’nın doğa ve hayvanlar üzerindeki hâkimiyetini gösterir. Afyonkarahisar’da 1964 yılında yapılan bir yol çalışması sırasında bulunan ve yurtdışına kaçırılan eser; yapılan çalışmalar sonucunda 2020 yılında ülkemize getirtilmiştir. Şu anda geçici bir süre İstanbul Arkeoloji Müzeleri’nde sergilenmektedir.
